Conducts doctoral research in cancer transcriptomics and nanomedicine safety while developing bioinformatics platforms for an EU-funded consortium.

  • Designs and develops bioinformatics platforms supporting nanomedicine safety assessment and cancer research within the MELOMANES EU Doctoral Network.
  • Developed modular R and Python pipelines for RNA-seq processing, statistical analysis, visualization and reuse of high-throughput transcriptomics data.
  • Integrated R/Plumber statistical services with browser interfaces and backend orchestration to make analysis executable and inspectable by non-programming users.
  • Implemented metadata-driven provenance, checksum verification, structured issue reporting, private dataset ownership and review/commit workflows.

  • GeneBean is Zomniverse's bioinformatics pipeline-hosting layer and can host and manage pipelines implemented in different programming languages.
  • MARSS is the first pipeline hosted by GeneBean and implements the primarily R-based workflow File Reader -> Row Namer -> Expression Matrix Canonicalization -> Normalization & QC -> governed downstream handoff.
  • R computation includes edgeR DGEList, filterByExpr, TMM calcNormFactors and logCPM, plus PCA and limma MDS quality-control outputs.
  • Node.js coordinates request boundaries and service handoff; PHP/JavaScript provide modular workspaces; MariaDB supports identity and persistence; R/Plumber provides scientific computation; Python/FastAPI supports ZAR AI Research City synthesis of retrieved PubMed evidence.
  • Governance controls include owner-scoped private datasets, CSRF protection, SHA-256 checksums, provenance, audit events, issue-code routing and review/commit states.
  • ZAR AI combines structured providers, local Mistral inference, retrieval and deterministic tools as a bounded synthesis and explanation layer rather than the sole source of truth.
  • GB-Tox currently provides a governed toxicogenomic signature-scoring backend using ssGSEA and private result registration; the frontend and predictive validation are not established.
